"Saving energy and promoting renewable energy sources" in the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009-2014

The project entitled "Increasing the energy efficiency of the building of the Team of the Independent Public Healthcare in Glubczyce"

Dear Sirs!

Hereby the pleasure to inform you that the Independent Public Healthcare in Glubczyce (SP ZOZ Glubczyce) is implementing successive extension of the project entitled "Increasing the energy efficiency of buildings of the Independent Public Healthcare Team in Glubczyce."

The main objective of the Project is to improve the energy efficiency of buildings belonging to the SP ZOZ Glubczyce by:

  1. main building of the hospital:
    • modernization of the cooling system through the installation of sunscreen blinds facade controlled by the BMS system, limiting the impact of solar radiation on the temperature inside the rooms of a hospital,
    • the installation of a photovoltaic roofing driveway for ambulances and photovoltaic roof over the windows of the second and third floor of the building on the south side,
  2. building workshops:
    • insulation of walls and flat roof in order to reduce their permeability,
    • replacement of windows and doors and gate,
    • modernization of central heating with radiators exchange while maintaining the existing heat source,replacement of lighting with energy-saving LED
  3. building archive:
    • insulation of walls and flat roof in order to reduce their permeability,
    • replacement of windows and doors,
    • modernization of central heating systems with replacement radiators and heat sources
  4. building emergency:
    • flat roof insulation to reduce its permeability,
    • replacement of lighting with energy-saving LED
    • modernization of part of the installation C.O. with replacement radiators.

Location of the extended scope of work is situated in the former project at ul. Maria Sklodowska-Curie 26, 48-100 Glubczyce. The owner of the investment arising in connection with the implementation of the project will be SP Health Care Centre in Glubczyce, who will take full responsibility for its operation and all costs associated with it. It is predicted that the SP Health Care Centre will generate savings through the implementation of the project, which will cover the costs associated with the maintenance of the investment.

Basic technical data regarding project:

  1. hospital building:
    • upgrading the cooling system through the installation of sunscreen blinds facade of approx. 110m2, controlled by the BMS system, limiting the impact of solar radiation on the temperature inside the rooms of a hospital,
    • installation of photovoltaic roofing driveway for ambulances and photovoltaic roof over the windows of the second and third floor of the building on the south side with a total capacity 40.8kW. 
  2. workshops building:
    • thermal insulation of walls with an area of 232.01m2 with Styrofoam of a thickness of 18cm with a coefficient λ = 0.040 W / mK. U ration  before modernization = 1.428 W / m2K; U after upgrading = 0.192 W / m2K,
    • insulation of flat roof surface 206.95m2 with eps boards with a thickness of 24cm with a coefficient λ = 0.038 W / mK. U ration before modernization = 2 169 W / m2K; U after upgrading = 0.146 W / m2K,
    • the replacement of wooden windows in the amount of 15pcs, the total area of 20.16m2, replacing it with PVC windows 3-glassed with ration U = 0.9 W / m2K,
    • the replacement of exterior doors wooden surface 2.5m2 and replacing them with aluminum or steel door with ratio U = 1.3 W / m2K,
    • the replacement of gate steel surface of area 6.3m2 and replacing it with an insulated gate with ration U = 1.3 W / m2K,
    • upgrade of C.O. It includes the dismantling of the old installation, distribution of a new installation C.O. throughout the building, replacement of 12 heaters with new ones with thermostatic valves. Existing heat source - a gas boiler C.O. due to its good condition, is not subject exchange,modernization of the existing lighting involving the exchange of 24 luminaires with 24 light sources. Existing light sources have the power 2.04kW, after modernization will be 0.63kW. 
  3. Archive building:
    • thermal insulation of walls with an area of 173.24m2 with styrofoam with a thickness of a 18cm with a coefficient λ = 0.040 W / mK. U ration before modernization = 1 428 W / m2K; U after upgrading = 0.192 W / m2K,
    • insulation of flat roof surface 147,40m2 with eps  boards with a thickenss of 24cm with a coefficient λ = 0.038 W / mK. U ratio before modernization = 2 923 W / m2K; U after upgrading = 0.149 W / m2K,
    • the replacement of wooden windows in the amount of 10 pieces, with a total area of 18.9m2, replacing it with PVC windows 3-glassed with rationU = 0.9 W / m2K.
    • the replacement of exterior doors wooden surface of area 2.7m2 and replacing them with aluminum or steel door U = 1.3 W / m2K,modernization of the C.O. It includes the dismantling of the old installation, distribution of a new installation C.O. throughout the building, replacement of 10 heaters with new, with thermostatic valves, replacement of heat source condensing boiler with a capacity of 9 kW. 
  4. Emergency building:
    • insulation of flat roof surface of area 361.04m2 with eps boards with a thickness of 24cm with a coefficient λ = 0.038 W / mK. U ratio before modernization = 1,936 W / m2K; U after upgrading = 0.148 W / m2K,
    • partial upgrade of C.O. It includes the dismantling of the old installation, distribution of a new installation C.O. (About 35m) exchanging four heaters with new, with thermostatic valves, while maintaining the existing heat source,
    • modernization of the existing lighting consisting in replacement of 136 LED light sources and the exchange of 12 luminaires with LED light sources. Other fixtures are suitable for reuse. Existing light sources have the power 3.43kW, after modernization will be 1.40kW.

The value of the extension project amounts to 1 643 537.90 PLN, of which financing is 1 314 830.32 PLN.

The total value of the project is 4 701 257.97 PLN, of which subsidies are 3 593 615.92 PLN.

The investment without the support of donor countries would not be possible.

Material and financial implementation of the project will be completed in the period to 30 April 2017.
